Vanta Profiles & Privacy

Vanta profiles are privacy-aware.

A user does not need to have a public profile simply because they use Vanta. The established profile system prompts for public/private visibility when creating/managing profile visibility.

Public

A public profile can appear in the global public profile directory.

Private

A private profile should not appear in the global directory.

The /profile visibility behavior supports public/private control.

Troubleshooting

If a private profile appears publicly, treat that as a privacy bug and report it. If a newly changed profile appears stale, refresh/reload the profile data rather than logging out as the first solution.
